Rob

I started DJing at 15, playing a mix of new, old, scratched and borrowed 7” singles at school discos and local house parties, and later graduated to bars, clubs and larger events in Brighton and London, where I was studying (occasionally ) at uni. I also got into music production around this time and released, as part of a callow production/DJ duo, a handful of 12” singles in the mid-90s including one on our own imprint Piranha Records. For a while we were signed to Brighton-based record label Loaded/Skint who at that time were busy releasing music from (among others) Jason Nevins, Luke Slater, Roger “Wildchild” McKenzie, and Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim). Fast forward, now a resident of West Oxfordshire I’m back playing my first musical love; soul, funk and jazz from both its original homelands in 60s/70s black America, but also increasingly these days from all corners of the world.
